Dick's Guide to Politicians Screwing America in the 1990's

In the 1990s, politicians screwed Americans so often and in in so many ways that no single web page could ever hold the ways.  This dilemma has been partially solved here by a feeble attempt to identify the screws by the screwers and/or screwees.

1997:   The Public prosecutor in Harlan, Kentucky  Robert D. Thomas, a lawyer, was arrested for attempted murder. Apparently he had a private practice on the side and started shooting two of his clients during an ordinary business meeting.

August 1997:  Lying, money taking politicians pretend they want to control tobacco but vote for tobacco subsidies, to keep the costs of smoking down, the way their tobacco clients want.  Cheap cigarettes are the only thing kids can afford.
