Socrates is in prison, waiting to be executed.  He is visited by his friend Crito.  In the Crito dialogue we see the happy man, Plato, waiting to die.  The unhappy man, Crito is trying to convince Plato to live.  In "Crito" we gain a glimpse of a man who has lived -- and will die -- happily.  Plato has lived the life he wanted to live and will die happily, with the very same attitudes with which he lived.  Here is a sumarry of the story.
